I first learned about the concept of daily painting in the book “Daily Painting” by Carol Marine. I loved this book and was very excited and inspired by it! As a consequence, I decided to – at least try to – paint or draw most days. Practicing art for a a specific amount of time each day is probably the best way to improve your artistic skills. I can keep my works relatively small: When I paint as part of daily painting, I usually choose a surface that is only 15x15cm. Usually limiting myself to one or two hours, ensures that I don’t feel overwhelmed and to  concentrate on what is really important to me. What exactly made me want to paint a particular subject? Daily painting also allows me to experiment – for example with a new color palette, composition or a new technique. Try it out for yourself – maybe, you’ll love it too!
